“The colors are very important to me. I use the colors to emphasize on diverse topics that have given name to my collections”, exclaims Irene Narpier. Some of these beautiful collections are: The Secret Life of The Plants"; Fruits and Flowers over Water”, "Butterfly Wings" and “Color Vibrations”.

Imad Atalla, director of Publio, Art and Cultural magazine writes about Irene Narpier and her Tsunami collection: "She is inspired by ecological concerns. Irene Narpier dedicates her paintings to the trees and flowers that may never spring due to soil erosion, natural disasters, and human negligence. In an act of prescience she was depicting a tsunami in her latest work just before a real tsunami took place in Asia" (2004).

Irene Narpier studied at the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo, focusing in Art & Mass Media Communication. She was a Cultural advisor of the Student Government Association at City College of New York. She also taught art for special community programs at Columbia University and School District 6 in New York.

Her artwork is expressed through canvas, sculptures, music, and poems. It can be found around the planet in several private collections: The Grace Mansion of N.Y. former Mayor David Dinkins, Robert Redford, and many institutions, persons, and collectors of fine arts.
